1 color placement chart - one square =1 stitch, the color of the square is the color of the yarn.
1 stitch chart (row by row in crochet symbols, the color around the symbol is the yarn color.
1 border suggestion with an easy-to-follow diagram and instructions
Instructions on how to do Tunisian Crochet and Single Crochet.
Instructions on how to do color changes.
The first 20 rows are written out row by row to show how the chart works

Meet the Maker
Kathleen Fields loves the art of Crochet. Using this wonderful needlecraft for the past 30 years, she has designed many beautiful Blankets and House Decor items.

All of her single Patterns are in digital PDF Pattern Form and can be easily downloaded and used on computers, tablets, etc.
Filet Crochet, Tunisian, and Overlay Mosaic Crochet are her specialties; yet dabbles in other works as well.
How it’s Made
I draw out my idea for a design, in this case a cute baby elephant offset on the baby blanket.
I then take my drawn-out design and put it on an Excel grid chart (sheet) following the Tunisian simple stitch/single-crochet chart rules.
I chart the grid design.
I write out the pattern
I crochet the design using the charts and patterns I created.
I also prepare a digital PDF pattern and add the instructions, charts, and border suggestions.
I added how to add color areas if preferred.
I have people who know how to do Single Crochet Blankets and/or Tunisian (Afghan) simple stitch, that test my pattern to make sure all the Ps and Qs are in order. Then I publish my pattern here and in other places... and talk a lot about it in groups on social media sites.
